Hello. Let me briefly explain my situation...
I've got a Mac II to which I've added an ethernet card and a Deskwriter.
I'm currently running system 6.0.4.
For many months, I had no printer and I would get hardcopy by generating
a PostScript file (using an init called Laserfix) and uploading the file to
a VAX/VMS & Scriptprinter PostScript queue. I'd then use a command file and
a modified header obtained from info-mac to print the file. At this time,
I was using system 6.0.1 and LaserWriter 5.2.
Running into trouble with long wait times for my hard copy, I decided
to get a Deskwriter. I got Freedom of Press Light at the same time to let
me continue with the PostScript output. At FOP's recommendation, I installed
a newer version of the LaserWriter driver (6.1?). I also upgraded my system
to 6.0.4.
For a time I didn't require the VAX PostScript printer and didn't try
things out. Recently, I did try the old procedures and they didn't work.
I removed LW 6.1 and reinstalled LW 5.2. They then worked.
However, when trying to use FOP lite with LW 5.2 (now version 3.1),
it didn't work. Apparently, a more recent LW driver is needed.
I tried reinstalling LW 6.1 and renaming version 5.2. To print to the VAX,
I selected LW 5.2 in the Chooser under the new name, then uploading
and printing as before. It didn't work.
How can I have both drivers and use them depending on whether I wish to
use FOP or the VAX queue? Other advice is requested and appreciated.
e-mail, please.

p.s. I know about AddLprep. However, it's old (1988), I haven't had much
luck, and it therefore doesn't seem to be worth the shareware fee.
