[comp.sys.mac.misc] Laserwriter IINTX RAM Upgrade

kevinh@cmi.com (Kevin Hegg) (04/24/91)

Does anyone have experience with putting more RAM in a IINTX? Can you
notice a difference in printing speed, especially with large graphics? Is
it worth buying the extra RAM? Thanks in advance.

Yes, and Yes! Not only in speed, but some of my graphics (very
large TIFs) wouldn't print at all before the memory upgrade.
I do DTP and sometimes I still can't print whole docs with 9MB
of memory in the IINTX, but that's because the docs can be 1MB
a page....

Anyway, improved my printer's performance considerably. Plus,
I have been able to download more fonts to the printer. That's
handy.
