I have SE30 connected via Apple Ethernet Card to a Sun network. We have Apple LaserWriter (IINTX) on the network. Currently I am doing the following for printing: I modified the laserwriter driver to always produce postscript (as suggested in the postscript hints located in sumex-aim). I installed macps on my Sun. I transfer the postscript files to the sun and print them using macps (which adds the corrected header). Everything works fine except non-laserwriter fonts. for such fonts, the mac notifies me about sending the bitmap versions of the font, but the printer rejects the generated postscript files. Does anyone know the possible cause (and solution...) for this problem? I am using Laserwriter version 5.2 Another question - does anyone know about a more elegant way of printing using the above configuration. (ideally I would like to just select "print" from the menu and that's it) Thanks for your help ================================================ Shaul Markovitch Tel: 04-294346 Computer Science Department Technion - Israel Institute of Technology Haifa, 32000, Israel Csnet: shaulm@cs.technion.ac.il Bitnet: shaulm@techsel ================================================ -- ================================================ Shaul Markovitch Tel: 04-294346 Computer Science Department Technion - Israel Institute of Technology
