[comp.sys.mac.misc] MacX alternative ?

Do you know of an alternative to MacX? Another program to run
X applications on Macintosh?

We have some compatibility problems with MacX and SyBase running
on a HP9000. We don't blame MacX specifically, but the X program
seems to be the easiest to replace...

Some clarification: The source of the problem seems to be running an
X11R3 application on X11R4 (which MacX is). Others have seen the same
problem on SUN's, for instance. There it is possible to set an "X11R3
backward compatibility flag", and it works. MacX calls itself backwards
compatible with X11R3, but it can't run SyBase X11R3 application.

How does the problem show, you might ask? The application looses
contact with the keyboard...

So, any help with MacX? Or a MacX replacement?
