I'm about to be pruchasing a 600 meg hard drive. I will, of course, need to back it up now and then. I can think of a few possible methods. 1. Using tape backup - the Teac unit seems to be what is sold. I know the Apple unit is disgustingly slow. How fast and effective is the Teac? What other tape drives are out there? 2. SyQest cartridge backups. I am not going this route for two main reasons on a per meg basis the carts cost a lot , and the reliability can be questionable. 3. DAT backup systems. I'm not backing THAT much up and I don't need that much speed. So, how do tape drive backup systems shake out for the Mac? ** Ken ** Internet: ken.knight@f421.n109.z1.fidonet.org AOL: KenKnight "Goodness me; could this be; Industrial Disease?" * Origin: Kensington Ken - just a point (1:109/421.4217)
