sigh! 8 ( . I think the time is coming when I must give up on my 512. I finally got hold of a modem, and an old-fashioned 9-25 pin cable for it, but when I tried to run Kermit, and I got a system error. I'm sure someone out there will know whether I can get hold of a newer system version for the 512 that won't crash .... (I also can't read a 400K disk that was formatted on a newer Mac.) OR maybe some communication software that will run I know, I know, get a Classic, don't even bother upgrading this one, with its ancient keyboard (which only works if you hold the cable into its socket)... Maybe some day... Meanwhile, any suggestions (of no or very minimal cost...) will be greatly appreciated.
