Greetings: I am considering subscribing to an on-line info service, and I'd like some feedback from the net. There appear to be several available--Genie, America Online, Prodigy, Delphi, and surely there are more--and I don't know which one would be the best to subscribe to. I would be using a SE/30, 6.0.5, running Multifinder. My usage of it would be primarily in these areas: searching an online encyclopedia, and searching of the news wire services (UPI, AP, etc.) primarily in the technology and medical fields. I would access other areas also, but these two for the most part. So, if you have had experience with any one the on-line services; please share your horror stories/hero stories. My areas of question about the services are: o What kind of reputation does it have? o How is their "technical support" (for problems with connection, access programs, etc.)? o How much does it cost? o Does it have a penalty for higher baud rates (i.e., 2400 baud)? o Et cetera. Thanks. Dave Arns Internet: davea@hpfcmgcf Post: Hewlett-Packard Company (or) davea@hpfcla.hp.com Attn: Dave Arns MS46 HP-Desk: dave_arns@hp4000 3404 E.
