[comp.sys.mac.misc] Warning: System 7.0 alters your fonts

smisra@eos.ncsu.edu (SAURABH MISRA) (05/22/91)

I recently installed system 7.0 on my mac. I put all the fonts
in the system suitcase...and when I decided that system 7.0 wasn't
worth it due to its SLOWness...I could not retreive those fonts
back...they were all truetype fonts that I had gotten from other
people...does anyone know how to convert these fonts back to the
FONT/DA mover recognizable format when you are back to system 6.0.7??

Thanks

Saurabh

PS: Make a backup of EVERYTHING before installing system 7.0

Using DA/Font Mover, create a suitcase with 1 font, just to keep it simple.
Then, copy that suitcase to your 7.0 drive. Open the system and copy the TT's
you want into the suitcase you created (you should not have to open it.) That
should get you back to where you were before.
