Hardware: 9 Macs (assorted), one Laserprinter and an SE/30 with two drives (140 meg. and 40 meg.) acting as a fileserver. Problem: All Macs except one work fine. This one seems to access the file server fine but periodically seems to be deciding to have an extended chat with the file server (thus suspending everything on that machine until it's done chatting). It seems to do this when redrawing the desktop, but the problem is not isolated to when the file-server's desktop is open (but is still active). Does anyone have any ideas as to what might be going on here? No unusual DAs are running on this Mac (none different from the other Macs) and it's driving me nuts. As a related topic, are there any PD network utilities that could be helpful at times like this (or just fun to play with, etc.)? Thanks in advance! --Rob
