I am having a little trouble scanning logos in for a slide presentation. The scanner is a Microtek 300Z. The logo is supposed to be in color, I have it in a pretty good quality black & white print out. What I am trying is to scan in the logo using the DA that comes with the scanner as a black & white, line art, tiff file. Then I want to take it into something like Photoshop or Canvas and colorize it. The idea is to get the logo to stand out on a blue slide background without the white box that comes from scanning showing up. The best luck I have had so far is to use the autotrace option in Canvas to eliminate the white box background and then individually choose polygons and colorize them. When the polygon is large, Canvas breaks it up into two and that does not give good results. So, anybody who has had reasonable luck putting logos or other art into slide presentations, I would like to hear from you. I've been running into dead ends with this problem, so even if it requires purchasing additional software, I would like a solution. Thanks. -- -------------------------------------------------------------- Nadeem Malik nadeem@wam.umd.edu 5906 Hubbard Drive voice: (301) 770-2290 Rockville, MD 20852 fax: (301) 881-6339
