A friend of mine here at work is looking for educational software for mentally and physically handicapped people. Does anybody know from where we might get this kind of software? Thanks, Jonathan.

The Mouse Lap Pad, from PrecisionLine (612- 475-3550 or 800- 328-0077) is a mouse pad in a rigid tray that can be attached to knee or thigh. Zofcom in Palo Alto is working on the TongueTouch Keypad and Zofcom Control System, which fits into the mouth like a dental retainer, sends signals by infrared waves to computers, phones, TVs, etc. for $5250. The Trace Center (609- 262-6996) is working on System 3 for blind people, which works with outSpoken from Berkeley Systems, Voice Navigator from Articulate Systems and a special vibrating puck which can interpret screen pictures.
