Hi, I was trying to buy a IIsi in our school's bookstore, but after checking the price, it was hard for me to justified the purchase of si over a SE/30. _____________________SE/30_________________si_______ | cpu (4/80) 2595 | (5/80) 3195 | ext keyboard 70 | 155 | | 14" Seiko ~ 600 (our bookstore's apple |_____________________________|_____________________ 13" is $699 w/o stand) | sub TOTAL 2665 | 3950 | add 24 bit/14" ~ 1000 | siNuBus(math) 195 |_____________________________|______________________ | TOTAL 3665 | 4145 the difference is enough for a Deskwriter! the advantage of SE - semi-portable (just detach the color monitor) - cheap the advantage of si > 20MH vs. 16 > microphone to play with 8-) > clean ROM -- not that important to me The question is, actually I don't really have any, is just that I always have a hard time deciding between a cheaper model and a newer model.
