[comp.sys.mac.misc] NCSA Telnet 2.3 on a plus under 7.0

danno@css.itd.umich.edu (Daniel T. Pritts) (05/31/91)

Anyone else been able to get telnet 2.3 to work on a plus under 7.0?

Both the MacTCP and plain vanilla varieties crash with an "unimplemented
trap" error when I try to open a connection. Grabbing the 2.4b11 version
right now, I'll check that out, but has anyone been able to get this
to work?

It works fine on an SE/30 with fc2, and works fine on the same plus
if I boot from a 6.07 floppy.

I am having similar problems. I am using BYU Telnet 2.3.4 and it works
flawlessly under 6.0.7 on a Plus and a II and under 7.0 on a II but not
on the Plus. I get an error (Unable to connect to host) and not a crash
or anything drastic. This is the only thing keeping me from using 7.0 all
the time.
