You can put folders in the Apple menu, but they don't show up as
sub-folders, instead selecting them opens the specified folder and you
can double click on the items therein.

have the contents of those folders to appear in submenus in the Apple
Menu. Anyone know if this can be done (under System 7).

I think some one from Apple (I can't remember his name)
will be releasing an init call HAM that will do what you want.


Anybody know if this init is finished?

I'm sure it can be done...  I saw it earlier, on my Mac.  On America
OnLine, there was a demo of HandOff 2.2, which supports <um...>
"SuperMenus" which is basically a hierarchical apple menu.

If anyone knows of a shareware/freeware way to get this, PLEASE let me
know, as I need it also. :)
