Hello,
I have an original MacII for sale. Postings to the net have not met
with tremendous success. So, I've called a bunch of the resellers of
used Macs who, not by coincidence, also buy used Macs. Does anyone
have any experience with any of the following companies:
Access II,
Rentex,
Sun Remarketing
They all want me to mail them my Mac, they'll check it out, and then
mail me a check if things look fine. I'm just a little reluctent to
send my Mac away to parties unknown. Any information would be helpful
including any other resellers you might recommend.
For the last time. If anyone wants a used MacII in excellent condition,
only programmed in C, Lisp, and Smalltalk never driven in assembly,
(well almost never), let me know. Here are the statistics:
MacII CPU with mouse
2 internal 800K floppy drives
5 MB of RAM
PMMU chip installed
Comes with original packaging and documentation.
$1700 will ship UPS COD.
(this is equal to the best price a reseller will offer)
Thanks in advance,
Andrea or Boyd Hays

I've dealt with them a couple of times and was happy with the way they handled me. Definitely insure the heck out of the package, though. I am not familiar with either of the other two companies.
