Here's one for you: I have a *small* (3-node) network that I installed about 9 months ago. It worked fine until the dudes at the office moved one of the nodes (that is, swapped the SE for the plus). No big deal... It's hooked up like this #3->#2->printer, and #1->printer. #1 are pluses and #2 is the SE. Only the SE runs multifinder. The length of cable between the nodes < 50 feet... So when I hook em all up, #2 can't see the laserWriter UNTIL I DISCONNECT THE LINE FROM #3. IF I have the chooser open, it will actually show up as I un- hook the cable to #3. Funky, eh? Furthermore, if I change the configuration of the network, and hook #3 directly to the printer, and run #2->#1->printer, it works great, AND will support a 4thonode #4->#2->#1->printer OVER A LENGTH OF CORD > 100 FEET... So if anyone can send me their phone number, or point me to some adequate documentation, or if you know what is wrong, I'd appreciate the help! Ciao! Lauren (206) 325-6630
