[comp.sys.mac.misc] Memory saving trick

I have a system with one internal, & one external hard drive. I use the inter-
nal hard drive to back up the external one, so I don't need it all the time. I
discovered that if I hold down Option-Command-Shift-Delete, disabling the
internal hard drive at startup, I get an extra 100k of memory! I suspect this
is because the system stores the desktop database of each mounted hard drive
in memory. Either that, or the driver is in memory.
