I just purchased Disk Doubler 3.7 to run under System 7. It's great to have the DD menu back under the Finder, but I think I've found an incompatability between DDInit and MacsBug (version 6.2.1). Simply put: whenever you enter MacsBug, then exit using ES or EA, the DD menu doesn't function anymore. I've tried this on a IIcx and a IIsi, without any other inits/extensions/cdevs installed, and it always kills DD. Does anybody know what's happening? --Leigh Nystrom ln0c@andrew.cmu.edu

Nada ... sorry for the empty posting. New mailer doesn't "abort".
I was about to post the e-mail address for Salient, then decided to
do it by e-mail. If anyone wants the address, reply by mail and
I'll send it to you. Again, sorry to waste bandwidth on another
empty posting. -- Bill (johnston@minnie.me.udel.edu)

I helped beta test DD 3.7 and although I wasn't using MacsBug 6.2.1 under System 7 (I was mainly testing the System 6 stuff) I'd be very surprised if Lloyd Chambers wasn't using it. Now what very well may be the case is if you use EA or ES on the Finder, that DD isn't reloading when the Finder runs for the second time. I don't think that's a bug since DD isn't really part of the Finder and forcing applications to quit that don't want to isn't really a nice thing to do to well-behaved extensions like DD. If you are using EA and ES to escape from other applications, something strange is going on, because I do that all the time without hurting DD at all. cheers...
