Is it posssible to have 3 megs of RAM in a ][si? (Or in any Mac for that matter?) Somebody I know supposedly has 3 megs in a ][si and I was wondering if they were pulling my lower extremities. thanx -- --------------------------------------------------------------------------- * Tim Farrington ' When a pyrotechnician says "Whoops", * * tfarring@eniac.seas.upenn.edu ' duck! * ---------------------------------------------------------------------------

Newer IIsi's are shipping with 3 megs. They're putting 512k simms in the sockets, instead of 256's. A very useful config. considering System 7 is VERY difficult to run in 2 megs of RAM. I imagine it's still cheaper to upgrade to 5 megs 3rd party, than to buy those 512 simms.
