I'm looking for an activity fund accounting program that would be suitable
for a small high school. I wrote the program they are currently using but
they are switching from Apple IIs to Macs and want to upgrade the software.
The main purpose for this program would be to track expenditures for each
activity such as 'drama club', 'athletic club', etc. in a debit/credit
arrangement. Reports need to be generated monthly for each account and
for the entire school. They would like to keep the reports in a format
similar to the established one, so some flexibility/customization
is necessary.
After taking with the school principal, it seems they have tried out a
few accounting packages but most of them seem geared to a small-business
type of accounting system which is a little overwhelming.
Any pointers to commercial/PD/shareware packages that might fullfill
these requirements?
