A couple of years ago I say a desk top accessory called "Talking Moose" which periodically featured a moose character making rude comments on the screen. My question is, does anyone know where I can get a copy of this? Thanks CRAYJOHN - Chris R. Johnson

My question is, does anyone know where >I can get a copy of this? Thanks CRAYJOHN - Chris R. Johnson There is something called "Zippy (The Talking Pinhead)" that runs under multifinder that I believe is based (perhaps loosely) on the moose DA. I'm not sure if it public-domain or shareware, but is is available in the Mac application directory of simtel20.army.mil. If you don't have FTP ability, and you really want it, I can send it to you (I'm sure I have it somewhere). -- Dave Denson (densond@prism.cs.orst.edu) Consultant, UCS/Kerr Microcomputer Lab "The illegal we do immediately. My question is, does anyone know where >I can get a copy of this? Thanks CRAYJOHN - Chris R. Johnson -- Talking Moose is, now version 3.0, distributed by Baseline Publishing, Inc. Here's the address: Baseline Publishing, Inc. 5100 Poplar, Suite 527 Memphis, TN, USA 38137 Voice (901) 682-9676 Fax (901) 682-9691 GEnie: Baseline Compu$erve: 76340,2346 AppleLink: Baseline It will also speak Window title, menu selection, speak text in the clipboard, and a couple silly things. If you have AppleLink, check at the Promotion's area, that's where I got mine when that have a Moose with a Mug. Don't know if the promotion is over or not. Compatability? I have a IIcx with 105 MB Quantum and 8 MB of RAM running Virtual 2.03 for a total of 14 MB. Two and one-third rows of Startup-icon, don't know how many not shown (INIT cdev 3.0 takes awhile to load!). The only problem I found so far is GateKeeper which keep kick in when the Moose try to speak menu or window. Grant right to Moose does not work (seems like request came from the program itself... I don't know!) When I disabled GateKeeper it is fine. I still have SAM and Disinfectant. Pretty cool! Oh, I also have 264 RasterOps board. The Moose is fine in any mode. __Mouse.o()~ Dhanapong Saengrussamee | AppleLink: U1364 | BITNET: mouse@untvax Technical Support, CECS Dept. | BIX: d.mouse.s | Compu$erve: 71301,1516 University of North Texas | Internet: mouse@vaxb.acs.unt.edu PO Box 5155 - UNT Station | UUCP: ...!uunet!ntvax!vaxb.acs.unt.edu!mouse Denton, TX 76203-5155 | Phone: (817) 565-4435 | FAX: (817) 565-4425
