I have several games for the Mac that I wish to sell. They ran fine on my old
Mac (an SE with system 6.0.2 running under the Finder) However, now some of
them do not seem to run properly on an SE/30 (which I recently upgraded to).
Therefore, I would like to sell them.
All of these games are the original software and include all original manuals.
They are the following:
1) Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy (I don't know much about this game since I
never played it. I believe it's an adventuring game based on the novel of
the same name. $10
2) The Colony - this is a GREAT space adventure game with ANIMATED 3D GRAPHICS
and great SOUND! You are a space marshall sent to a space colony to
discover what's happened to all the inhabitants, and what are all these
hostile aliens doing inside the colony. A lot of fun on an SE, but it runs
MUCH TOO fast on an SE/30 to be very enjoyable. $20 (includes "decoder")
3) ShadowGate - this game has great graphics and sounds and makes good use of
the Mac interface. It is a dungeon adventure game, but here you can
actually pick things up, move them around on the screen and interact with
the dungeon environment. $20 including the "HINT" book (which is regularly
a $5 value)!
4) Ancient Art of War - a fun military strategy game with good animation.
Your troops include knights, archers, and barbarians. Position your troops
and send them marching to their objectives and then get a close-up view of
the battle when they engage enemy troops. (I have found this game will NOT
run on my SE/30. It ran fine on my old SE, though.) $20
5) Archon - a chess-like game where the pieces move in ways different from
regular chess. AND the pieces are mythical characters with special powers.
Whenever one piece attempts to take another they are placed on a
battlefield each piece using its own special power. The piece that wins
the combat takes the square (until it is challenged by another piece). $10
6) Wizardry - Another dungeon adventuring game with fair graphics. Choose
who will make up your adventure party of 6 (Fighter, Wizrd, Thief, etc.).
Then venture into the depths of the dungeon to find and defeat the evil
Wizard! $20
7) Orbiter - Get the feel of what it must be like to go up in the Space
Shuttle in this simulation. Try your hand at Launch, Landing, Sattelite
Deployment/Recovery, or "Space Walks." $15
