I was wondering if there are any programs available that would give further information on the caches used on a Mac, the basic ram cache under the control panel for a start, maybe even the font cache under ATM as well. I know there are comments and recommendations on what they should be set at, but it's difficult to know how much of a difference a change really makes. I'd hate to have my ram cache set at 192k or 256k (on a 2.5Meg Plus) and find out it doesn't offer much improvement over having it at 128k. I'm not sure what the program should offer, except I guess for the basic hit and mix ratio. All those comp sci. people who know all about cache stuff can answer if there's any other useful information you could have. The ram cache has been a part of the Mac OS for a few years now that I would assume if there was such a program it would have surfaced, but you never know until you ask.
