I'm trying to find a mini-DIN 8 to mini-DIN 8 straight-through cable (that's Male on one end and Female on the other). I've tried a bunch of mail-order places that seem to have every type of cable imaginable, except this one. Does anyone know where I can find this? Thanks. - John

Try asking for an 'Imagewriter II extension cable' I bought one from some mail-order house or another (found in Macworld), a while back. It's possible that the salesperson just doesn't know what you are talking about. -- Matthew T. I've tried a ORA Electronics in Chatsworth, CA has this, as well as most any other configuration of cable or raw connectors you could imagine. Prices are very reasonable ... they are the importers and US distributors for the things listed in their catalog, so the prices are "near wholesale". The line of cables and connectors they provide are the "Data-Spec" brand. You may have seen them in local stores or in other mail-order catalogs, as they are widely distributed.
