[comp.sys.mac.wanted] How To Have >15 Das

hnewstrom@x102c.harris-atd.com (Harvey Newstrom) (11/13/90)

The Font/DA Mover tells me that I can't add more than 15 DAs to my system file.
Is there some way I can increase this limit? I actually have about 18 DAs that
I use on a regular basis.

Apparently Suitcase 2.0 will allow you to have more than 15 DAs (I believe
it goes up to 20 -- that's according to a friend of mine who works as a
Mac trainer for a software firm).

Also, it will allow you to save other DAs to "suitcases," which you can
then call up and "sample/use" from the Suitcase DA. Neat stuff, but it
does use up a lot of RAM....

I own Suitcase II, and love it! It *does* take a lot of RAM, but it's
worth it on my system (5 megs). Also, although I haven't tested this, I am
almost positive that the number of DA's available is limited only by your
memory. I've seen a Mac + system with about 30+ DA's, and I think they were
using Suitcase II. Also, there is a program called Master Juggler out that
is supposed to be more powerful, but less user friendly.
