I and a friend of mine are putting together a new game for the Macintosh and are requesting help in the area of putting together a simple player to player intercommuinications capability to allow remote play over local phone lines with a pair of modems. We, being beginners and not well versed in the use of the device manager and the serial drivers, are requesting information regarding implementation of simple data transfers using the phone lines. We would find most helpful examples of source code used to implement this functionality. We have made an attempt to locate such information at several of the info-mac archive sites available but with no success. If anyuone knows of such information available at an archive site please advise. Thanks in advance. Please respond by email....

I too am working on a game that I would like to make playable by phone. I would greatly appreciate it if people would cc a copy of any information or sample code that they send to Earl Benser to me as well! Earl: what sort of game is it? Need beta testers?
