Greetings. I am a relatively inexperienced hacker trying to obtain and use public domain software available over the net. I've ftp'ed things from remote sites and tonight I **finally** found a Binhex decoding program mcvert-15.shar from sumex.stanford.edu. The problem I've been having is getting it into a usable format on the MAC II. For Example - I have an application that I've unBinhexxed, but am unable to kermit it properly from my Sparc station to the mac so that the mac will recognize it as an application and not just a file/document from an unknown application. The commands were: mcvert um520sit.hqx which resulted in the file: Moria52.sit.bin. I've tried kermitting in Binary, MacBinary in the server mode, and sending the file without server, to no avail. The original file WAS specified as an application rather than source. Help! Eternal gratitude will be yours if you respond! *@%!@#$%^&*!@#$%^&*!@#$%^&*!@#$%^&*!@#$%^&*!@#$%^&*!@#$%^&*!@#$%^&*!@#$% %^&* *@% *@% *@% I've never met Peter Pan, *@% *@% and I hate Feb 14 *@% *@% *@%!@#$%^&*!@#$%^&*!@#$%^&*!@#$%^&*!@#$%^&*!@#$%^&*!@#$%^&*!@#$%^&*!@#$% %^&*
