[comp.sys.mac.wanted] Help! with Mac Small Business Acctng Software

haney@tramp.colorado.edu (HANEY PATRICIA J) (02/08/91)

I have been looking for a simple accounting program for my Mac. I started
with Quicken, and although the interface was very 'unsmooth' I would have
kept using it except that I couldn't accrue liabilities with it. It was a
straight checkbook interface - cks & deposits.

I've currently got atOnce! but probably will send it back within my 30 day
MBG period. It's overkill for what I need, and $285 to boot. I've seen the
documentation for MacMoney, but haven't run the program. I saw a negative
comment about it on Info-Mac that said it was more like IBM than Mac software.
I'd certainly be open to other comments though.

I was especially curious about DacEasy Light Checkbook Accounting for the Mac.
I've worked with the IBM version a while ago, and I'm wondering how Mac-like
the interface can be to a PC program ported over to the Mac world. Has anybody
used it yet? Reactions? I'm hoping to find something simple but suave, and
with any luck, under the $100 price range.

Thanks in advance for any pointers, comments and suggestions!
Most Sincerely,
Trish
