I am looking for a window-definition resource (WDEF?) with (any of) the
following features: 
  1) window resize from any point along the four borders of the window  
  2) window iconification
  3) vertical scroll bars that appear on the LEFT of the window (is this part
of the WDEF?)

...and I don't want to hear that any of these violate the Interface Guidelines
