rlogin doesn't do an effective "stty tabs" on the local terminal.
This means that if you are remote logged in and want to turn hard
tabs on (like when I'm capturing a file on my pdp-11 PC), you have to
^Z and do an "stty tabs" at each hop.
We are running 4.1a(heh!). 4.2 has just arrived but it isn't up yet,
so maybe this problem is no more.
