Is there a tool for the Mac that gives a command line interface? My major need is to be able to copy, rename, delete and otherwise mung groups of files. Therefore, this tool would need a wild card character capability. It may be overkill for what you need, but MPW provides a very powerful command line interface with a powerful scripting language. -- michael -- Michael Peirce -- outpost!peirce@claris.com -- Peirce Software -- Suite 301, 719 Hibiscus Place -- Macintosh Programming -- San Jose, California 95117 -- & Consulting -- (408) 244-6554, AppleLink: PEIRCE

There is a program that provides a command line interface for the MAC. The command line is similar to Unix command lines. It provides for ls, cat, cp, etc. Wildcards are supported. It launches applications with documents and does scripting. It is called Envyre-CLI and is available from: Appropriate Solutions POB 458 Peterborough, NH 03458 (603) 924-6079 Price: $99.95
