Hi, I'm looking for a cheap/public domain database for the mac. It'll be run off of a SE/30 with a 40 meg hard drive, and its need to be able to handle the following: 15 text/numerical fields, some of variable length (all less than say 80 characters each. Sorting on any of the above. Production of output files produced on content of fields (all records with values less than input value etc....) Above should give me no complications when I want to import them into MS-Word. The concept of the data I'll be keeping on will be data on student members of college organization I'm involved in. So it'll have names(first/last), year initiated, year graduating, points earned, permanent address, permanent phone, current phone, current address, and possibly a few other miscellaneous fields. The sorting will be done either name or year of induction, so the program shouldn't require that I pick the sort field when I create the database, nor should it be complicated to use, I'll probably be able to figure it out, but I'm graduating next year and it would be nice if the data was available to future officers. It would also be great if it was available by ftp. I would appreciate replies to my account.
