I need to transfer GIF images on a Macintosh, and possibly translate them into one or more of the typical Macintosh formats. I'm looking for Macintosh applications able to perform one or more of the following tasks: - reading a GIF image and showing it on any Macintosh monitor, either color or gray scale or B/W. - processing a GIF image and save it in the same format. - translating a GIF image into one or more among PICT, EPSF or TIFF formats, maintaining the same quality (number of colors or gray levels, resolution, and so on) of the original image. I was told that PhotoShop deals with this tasks quite well, but I'm looking for a lower cost application. Any information about specialized utilities, freeware or shareware is welcome. Thanks in advance. Aleardo Trabattoni
