As if I don't have ENOUGH trouble with my own system, I went and crashed a friend's HD... This was a monumental crash, too -- blood and gristle all over the place! But with the trusty Norton Disk Doctor, I managed to get the machine to even recognize the HD. However, Norton "fixed" the System Folder by deleting the system file, plus a few others. When I tried to reinstall System 6.0.5, I get an error halfway through (ID #127) tel- ling me that "This Disk can't be used as a Startup. Sorry." Referring to my trusty SysErr DA, I see that Error -127 is either an HFS error (fsDSIntErr: Internal File System Error) or a Menu Manager Error (dsHMenuFindErr: Could not find HMenu's parent in MenuKey). So what can I do to salvage the HD -- other than back up the entire volume (it's a Rodine 210MB internal)? Thanks in advance for any assistance! -shane
