I'm a non-Mac user who occaisionally has to consult for Mac people (hey, I work cheap) and a government office with a IIci needs a way to automate a certain task, that of calling the local mainframe with a terminal program. They just want to be able to click one place and launch the program, dial the system and log in. Something like Journal or MachII on the Amiga would do the trick, but... I need to know what I ought to look for for the Mac. Probably something which will record mouse/keyboard events and play them back on command would work best, since I doubt there's enough interprocess communication facilities built into the terminal (VersaTerm Pro) to do it at a lower level. Please mail replies. . <<<<Infinite K>>>> -- |Ben Scott, professional goof-off and consultant at The Raster Image, Denver| |Internet bscott@isis.cs.du.edu, or call the Arvada 68K BBS at (303)424-6208| | "All syllogisms have three parts... || The Raster Image IS responsible | | Therefore this is not a syllogism." || for everything I say! | *Amiga* |
