I'm fed up with my old Mac and I want a new one! "Go for it!" I can hear you say. Unfortunately, unless I want to be running my new Mac under a tree with a long extension cord, I can't afford to enrich my local dealer by $3,000+. So I have a question for those of you who can answer: What is the scoop on AppleCredit? What kind of time period and interest rates are involved? What kind of credit is necessary already? Are there any special deals for students? (This school is not in the AUC, nor does it have any direct dealings with Apple, much as I wish it did.) In short, would I be better off scrimping for a year or two and buying a Mac Xfyi then, or is the payment plan a good compromise? Unless, of course, there's someone out there who'd like to sell their used IIci for $275 a month over a year's time... :-} Your comments are much appreciated...
