I am looking for colordesk!, the utility that allows you to put a background picture on Mac monitor (13", 15", 19", whatever) with 7.0. I used deskpict! with system 6, but I noticed (and it has been mentioned on the net) there are slight problems with it and seven-oh. (Why Apple didn't built this function in the system, I'll never know...but then who's complaining :-). I am also looking for new version of TheNews (version 2.02 ) reader. I have checked sumex and others already (maybe I missed them), but no luck (just the old copies). Just give me the site name and some path destinations, and I can take it from there. You can respond e-mail. Thanks. **************************************************************************** Bobby Clark carlc@clemson.edu Tech Consultant, The Micro Center "...My words, not yours..." Right now, there's a program called DeskPict at the Sumex-Aim archives. It's rather old, but it seems to work for me. I'm using a IIsi, a standard 13" mon- itor with an Apple video card, and MaxAppleZoom. I'll probably toss the color- backdrop in a day or so. First of all, it's hard to come by 704x512 color pic- tures, and it's just not worth 200kb of memory! If you want a more interesting backdrop, you can just create a 64x64 ppat, id #16, in the system file. It's better than the 8x8 standard, and it doesn't take any extra memory!
