For sale: 1 - Abaton InterFax 24/96 fax and data modem. This modem will sit there in fax mode awaiting incoming faxes (which will be received in background even if you're not running MultiFinder), but will switch to data mode automatically if you try to make an outgoing data call (or simply open the modem port). The fax portion is Group III, all speeds up to 9600 bps; the data portion is 2400 baud with MNP 5 error correction and data compression (potential thruput is 9600 bps, but don't count on it). The current software is System 7 (non-VM, non-32bit) compatible, and there is a new version scheduled out around July 1 to handle VM and 32bit. MacConnection wants $349 new for this one, and other places are asking as low as $310; I'd like to get $250, but I'll consider reasonable offers. E-mail at any of the below addresses; voice 714 999 5020, fax 714 999 5030. -- Mark Hartman, N6BMO "What are you just standing there for? I'd like to sell my Abaton Interfax 24/96 data/fax modem. Street price new seems to be around $300; I'd like to get $250, but I'll consider any reasonable offer. (By the way, the software [v1.2.3] works fine under System 7 [non-VM, non-32bit].) -- Mark Hartman, N6BMO "What are you just standing there for?
