Grammar checkers have been out for quite awhile. Unfortunately, most of what has crawled out from under the rocks is junk. The point is not to belabor grammar chekcers, but the question users about the latest for the Macintosh: Grammartik by Reference Software. Like any other new release software, they promise the world. What do you users think? I would like to know how well it works, and how easily it works... If this is finally a checker that works, I want to find out.

Grammatik Mac often will NOT open files saved in the "quicksave" format. If the files are saved with the "save as ..." command, the problem seemss to go away. Rick McCormack, Vancouver

Keep waiting. I have been using Grammatik Mac for a couple of months now. If I ever need more space on my hard disk, it is always the first thing I remove. I can do better/faster grammar checking without it. I have also used Correct Grammar some (tried it on someone else's machine) and like it a little better. I don't usually agree with the suggestions for changes that are made by GM but end up accepting about 1/2 the suggestions made by CG. Also, GM won't open some of my Word 4.0 files for checking at all, whereas CG will. But, even at that, I haven't found a grammar checker that is better than what I remember from high school (and that was long ago). -- Richard K. I have used Grammatik Mac and for some reasons I sometimes get the message "Grammatik quit unexpectedly". Does anyone have any idea why is this so?
