When I first heard the announcements about AppleLink 5.0, I thought "great, I can hardly wait for us to get it." And then I waited... and waited... and waited... Well, we finally got our upgrade from 4.0 a week ago, something like a year after it was announced. In fact, we've been waiting so long, we skipped 5.0 and went straight to 5.1. I want to say that the new version is *great*, I *love* the MultiFinder backgrounding capability, and the new EFX protocol is *much* more responsive over our X.25 connection--at long last, AppleLink is a pleasure to use! So what I want to know is, why such a long delay for the new version to come to New Zealand? I know there was a holdup of a few months within CED (the Apple agents for NZ), and I have made my displeasure known to them over that. But was that all of it? Were there delays elsewhere in the supply chain? If so, why?
