Cross-references can be titles (text), their auto-numbers, current page-number or the section in which they occur, and they will be maintained and updated within and *between* documents (such as chapters of a book). The updating of the numbers happens immediately or at the very least when redisplaying the page - there is no need for it to happen at print time. As for the hot links: Yes, on Suns other programs do use RPC calls. But you can use the interface even for your own programs. -- Marc Raths, Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Baechtoldstrasse 5 CH-8044 Zurich, Switzerland UUCP: mr@bernina.uucp (mcsun!chx400!bernina!mr) Voice : +41-1-251 6824 Internet: mr@bernina.ethz.ch
