Hello, I like to know if anyone has any experience with Adobe Type Reunion. Is it safe, e.g. does it has any collision with other inits? And is it reliable? If you know anything, please mail me. Marc Heijligers marc_h@ele.tue.nl

I probably run more INITs than than the average person and have had no conflicts so far. (Actually, I'm sure I run more than the average person.) ATR is a big step up from Apple's way of doing things... Ken -- Ken Hancock | This account needs a new home in MA... Well, there appears to be 2 minor problems with it: 1. The Suitcase II option-key combination which displays the list of fonts in their respective font styles no longer works. 2. It causes Super 3D to store any new preference files at the same level as the system folder instead of the same level as the Super 3D application. This causes Super 3D to NOT recognize new preferences unless the preference files are physically moved down again. Just a pain in the ass, really. =============================================================================== Kok-Yong Tan can be contacted via: | "Oscularis fundamentum!" Pressing the shift key (is it-I don't use this option much) before choosing "font" disables Reunion. I found pressing shift and the option-key combination for Suitcase II worked fine. All the faces then rendered (with ATM too!). >2. It causes Super 3D to store any new preference files at the same level as >the system folder instead of the same level as the Super 3D application. The default Adobe Type Reunion menu has problems with some fonts. The workaround is to hold down the shift key to get the standard font menu. The specific problems I have discovered are: 1. The Chicago Symbols font does not appear, either by itself or as a submenu of Chicago. (Chicago Symbols is a PostScript type 3 font, I believe from CE Software, which includes some of the special symbols (like the command key symbol) from the Chicago font.) 2. The New Baskerville Fractions font, a modified font I created using Parafont, does not appear in the menu. I reported these problems to Adobe Technical Support on July 6. The Technical Support representative promised to call me back, but he never did. Herb Weiner (herbw@midas.WR.TEK.COM)
