"Hey, more people unhappy about Fastback II. Once I was a very happy user of "Fastback I which was supplied with free of charge with my Rodime drive, then "I saw Fastback II. No I decided not to upgrade - the new version is a real "step backwards, I could not make a successful recovery from the backup I "took as a test. The result of this is that I am still a happy user of "Fastback I. " "Jacob " "P.S. I wonder how hany people TRY to RECOVER their data as a test, "have you ever tried it with your backup program? Just wait until "your drive is gone, he he he... For a different opinion: I was having trouble with my hard drive freezing up (a Quantum stiction drive with the ROM fix). Because it always went down in high humidity at home I took it to work and started the final backup in the air conditioning. The drive failed in the middle of the backup. When I got the new drive, Fastback II restored everything up to the point that it had captured before the drive stopped. I was very relieved to get that much given the nature of the way the program was stopped. Shirley Kehr

This past weekend I got a MacII logic board swap and I backed up my HD40 to 13 2.4Mb diskettes via Rapport/Drive 2.4 with FastBackII, which I got for free with the drive. Upon changing the board, the drive was fine (someone warned me that the new ROMs might not like the drive). I was psyched, so I dragged all my folders to the trash. I was not able to "Erase Disk" but I did a full restore. It worked just as I expected. What's your problem? /jordan

Does anybody encounter with bug in Fontographer 3.1 from Altsy? I can't print some characters such as option-5, option-shift-9. It prints but it printed weird character like infinity sign and ascented circle which are not the characters I created. Is it because my configuration?
