I am having trouble getting Microsoft Word 4.0 to use all 8 inches of the imageable area of a DeskWriter. I am using MS Word 4.0 (no A or B suffix) and DeskWriter driver A.02.00. I took the following steps in Word: Page Setup - selected US Letter Format Document - set left and right margins to 0" Show ruler - click on Page Scale icon This shows a ruler going from 0" to approximately 7.68" followed by a 3/4" gray pattern. When I type in text to a paragraph whose left indent is 0.25" and whose right indent is negative to allow the text to go to about 8.5" and attempt to print, the text on the paper is cut off at about 7.5". I used font New York and told the Page Setup dialog to use the DeskWriter's built-in precision font. According to the DeskWriter manual appendix 1 the imageable area of a US letter is 8" by 10.16". Other applications seem to be able to print this entire area (centered within the 8.5" with a 1/4" margin on each side). What do I have to do to get Word to do so? Jeff Rubin UUCP: ...!amdahl!key!jbr
