I just bought White Knight at MacWorld Expo last week, so my warranty sheet is in the mail now... So, if someone can help me now, it will avoid a long and painful delay. The problem I'm having is that White Knight echos "U" and "S" [And sometimes R and T] when I type the single or double quote character on my extended keyboard. I checked the "translation" tables, and they claim "pass-thru" for those characters. I'm using VT102 emulation, I've also looked at various and sundry other options, without seeing anything that would be applicable. I already RTFM-ed, without finding anything that looked like an appropriate set of changes. Is this a known problem? I have a strong suspicion that the SmartQuotes init is doing me dirt, but I have tried both turning it off AND making White Knight a known-App. Nothing seems to help.

Welcome to the wonderful world of non-mac telecommunicating! Yes, SmartQuotes is "doing you dirt". Turn off your typesetting aids when connected to anything other than another Mac directly. -- ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- | Glenn L. I think you have made the correct guess that Smart Quotes Is indeed the culprit, have you tried turning off that INIT yet to see if it solves your problem? I suspect that it will. -- Norm Goodger SysOp - MacInfo BBS @415-795-8862 3Com Corp. Co-SysOp FreeSoft RT - GEnie.
