I'm noticing some strange behavior since I installed TOPS 3.0 and InBox. TOPS Technical Support suggested removing INITs, but that isn't practical for reasons which will become apparent. Configuration: System 6.0.4 on a Mac II and a Mac IIci (other machines are in the network but not involved in this problem). Symptom: Occasionally (not often, fortunately), when I try to open a file (usually PageMaker, I think) across the network, the menu bar becomes invisible in the server (the IIci), though the pull-down menus are visible if the mouse is clicked in the appropriate place. Both the II and the IIci hang and have to be restarted. By opening a file across the network, I mean that I have published the folder in TOPS and mounted it. This behavior occurs every few weeks, which is why removing INITs won't help. The first time it occurred, I reinstalled a fresh system on each machine. The behavior never occurred before I installed TOPS 3.0 and InBox (I was running TOPS 2.1 before). Has anyone else seen such behavior or even figured out what might be happening?
