This caused problems when we upgraded, although in our case we got page after page with "Belmo is out of date" on them. Another problem might be that someone has downloaded the old version of the font metric file (i.e. Belmo) to the printer. There are utilities that allow you to look at which fonts are loaded on the printer and to reset the printer, but you can just switch it off and on again and start from scratch (but make sure it's OK with the other users first! ;-)). --- Phil Etheridge (phil@waikato.ac.nz) /\ /\ -+-,--, .--, ._ Computer Services/Mathematics & Statistics / \/ \ / /--< /-- / University of Waikato, Hamilton, NZ. / \/ /__.) \_ /

I replaced the Belmo font file (again), and found that downloading it with the accompanying download utility permitted me to get output. The latter measure might have been overkill, but it did work. Speaking of overkill, I have also replaced the Belmont screen font when upgrading although I don't know if it's truly necessary. I do know that I have had problems with other users trying to print out documents with MathType graphics in them when they do not have MathType installed on their machines and printers. I thought that simply putting in the Belmo PostScript file in the user's system folder would do the trick but it turns out that the Belmont screen font has to be installed in order for the automatic downloading of Belmo from the system folder to take effect. Otherwise, the download utility would have to be used. Dana Keil, dana@are.berkeley.edu
