I've been successfully using the MacPrint driver to interface my IIci with an HP LaserJet IIP. However, a new faculty member has arrived and likes to use LaTex on her IIcx. We need to get her a printer, and of course the IBM dominated department wants her to use a setup like mine. When we tried to print her LaTex documents from my machine, all we could get was about a square inch of text in the upper left corner to print. We've called the LaTeX people, the HP folks, and the MacPrint folks, and nobody knows what the problem might be. So, to the all knowing net I submit my question: Is it possible to interface LaTex with an HP Laser printer and what do I need in order to accomplish it, and why won't the MacPrint driver work for LaTex when it does work for every other application I've tried (WriteNow, MacWrite, MSWord, MacPaint, SuperPaint, Mathematica, etc.). Before coming here, our new faculty member was successfully using LaTex with an HP DeskJet (mac version). Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. -- thomas willett Georgia Institute of Technology, Atlanta gt4586c@prism.gatech.edu "Violence is the last refuge of the incompetent." - Salvor Hardin (Foundation)
