I am having some problems converting pictures for use with Dawn and Desktop 1.1. THe original pictures were in the GIF format. I then have tried to use many programs to convert them to the necessary startupscreen or PICT format. Amond them are Giffer 1.06, Vision Lab 1.0, GIF Converter 2.1, QuickGIF, Pixel Paint 1.0. Many of the converted pictures simply weren't recoginzed by either Dawn of Desktop 1.1. Others were recognized but the color was degraded heavily. I've been screwing with this for many hours trying various combinations of programs and nothing really seems to work...ack. By the way, these are 8bit GIF Images for the most part and I'm running a //ci w/5 megs and apple RGB monitor if that makes any difference. any help would be greatly appreciated. BTW has anyone heard of when/if they are going to be putting out a version of MaxAppleZoom that works on the //ci?
