[comp.sys.mac.apps] Info on grammar checkers

changwoo@eleazar.dartmouth.edu (Chang P. Woo) (10/06/90)

I would like to know whether anyone on the net has used grammar
checkers on Macintosh. And if so, I would like to request some
evaluations on those. Specifically I am interested on following categories:

1. suggestion -- whether the program only marks questionable grammar or
actually suggest something new. Of course, I would prefer the one
   with suggestion capability.

2. interface with word processor -- normally I use MacWrite II 1.1, but
working on a group paper sometimes force me to use MS Word 4.0.
Therefore, direct support for both are important.

3. general form -- I would prefer applications over DAs, if possible.

4. price -- I am a college student. Any software over $100 requires
   major decisions.

Among the ones available on the market, I am particularly interested on
Correct Grammar by Lifetree Software and Grammatic Mac by Reference
Software.

Thanks in advance,
Chang
